Can't get much simpler than that.

I found this on my sister's friend's blog. Although it's talking about Proposition 8 in California and not 102 here in Arizona, it answers the same basic questions of why we should save the the traditional union of marriage between a man and woman. For those voters who are uncertain of why we need to protect marriage, this explains it very well. In not only the effects it will have for our children and families, but how we can support these propositions and still love our fellow man. It's a little corny with the illustrations, but has a good message.

FYI: We had another little reminder on Sunday sent from SLC about encouraging everyone to vote yes on 102. It was a video of Pres. David A. Bednar with some college students who were asking questions about what the ramifications would be if these propositions don't pass. It was very interesting to hear directly from an apostle of why he and the church feels so strongly about this election. And although I can't recite verbatim what he said, the main theme to his remarks is we as members need to look to the future of how our laws can effect us, our families and even how the church is run. And that we need to do our civic duty by voting.

That was a very simplified explaination.
